At Wild Birding, all of our Seychelles birding tours are tailor-made. We don’t run fixed group departures – instead, we create private, custom-designed trips based on what you want to see, how you like to travel, and how much time you have.

Whether you’re after the full sweep of Seychelles endemics, interested in seabird colonies and island hopping, or want to combine relaxed birdwatching with time on the beach, we’ll build the perfect itinerary for you.

We also specialise in combining birding with small-ship cruises and island-hopping expeditions. Many of our clients travel as couples, where one partner is a keen birder and the other is seeking a more traditional island holiday. In these cases, a cruise can offer the perfect balance – allowing access to remote islands and exceptional birdlife, whilst still providing the comfort, service and facilities of a luxury holiday. We can advise on a range of cruise options and seamlessly combine them with resort stays, birding excursions and extensions to destinations such as Mauritius, Réunion, Madagascar or East Africa.

Our expert local guides work closely with conservation organisations on the islands, giving you access to restricted areas and the best chances of seeing rarities such as Seychelles Scops Owl, Seychelles Magpie-Robin and Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher. For keen photographers, we can also time visits to coincide with active breeding colonies or favourable light conditions on some of the islands’ most scenic trails.

Please note that we do not currently offer day trips in the Seychelles and instead specialise in birding tours of three days or longer. Many hotels and lodges can arrange local birdwatching excursions, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee the quality of these experiences. In our experience, some guides advertise themselves as bird guides despite having limited birding knowledge and field experience. For those wishing to maximise their chances of seeing the Seychelles’ unique endemic birds, we strongly recommend travelling with a specialist bird guide.
